Hatch-Along - Eggs set in November, due December, anyone?

congratulations of everyone who hatched, who is hatching, and who is in lockdown!!!!!!.......took me a couple of days to come back but here i am, just went to lockdown on my remaining six out of 60+ this morning.....i just candled my production red 60+ eggs due on the 21st and they look good....after almost a year with my fridgebator i decided a couple days ago to dump it at a recycable yard and started working on another homemade with automatic egg turner and just finished it today....i took everything apart of my fridgebator and added them to my mini homemade bator with a capacity of 140 eggs, while i was regulating the temp on my newone i added a small heater to my fridgebator to maintain the temp on the eggs i had, once temp regulated i transfered my eggs to the new bator and its doing fine after 8 hrs of keeping an eye on it. i built it completely from old junk i had at hand. the motor for the turner i took it from one of those dears used for christmas ornaments that lower their heads as if they were eating and worked great. another thing is that eventhough i had no hatches on the 8th, i just received my ideal poultry order:65 black broilers and 20 asorted bantams.....so this is what ive done in the last couple of days.....i'll head out to my coop and take some pics of the baby chicks i received and my new homemade incubator......ill be back in a couple of minutes.......congratulations everyone......

Aww If you lived closer I'd scoop up your old fridgebator! Post pics of your new one please!

I shall be waiting for pictures! Btw, when should you be able to hear them peeping? Do the shells wiggle before you can hear peeping? I am so excited! I am so close to hatching!! AHH

I think I'll just go to bed and wait for the morning to come. XD

The last few days suck!! My friends who are getting any roos I hatch are crossing their fingers and freaking out too.

I know, I feel your pain! I've seen one of my eggs rock and heard it rock but then when I would look inside it stopped. I have high hopes for my lil egg #2 hehe

TWO TRAYS THAT HAVE 2 TRAYS OF 30 EGGS THAT GIVES YOU 120 EGGS BUT I THINK I CAN STILL ADD A ROW OF 10 MORE EGGS.



BOTTOM PART IS FOR HATCHING ON LOCKDOWN, RIGHT NOW I HAVE THE REMAINING 6 ON LOCKDOWN. THE BLUE TRAY IS TO COVER THE WATER CONTAINER FOR THE HUMIDITY TO PREVENT DROWNING WHEN BABIES ARE BORN.



2 100 WAT BULBS (IN CASE ONE BURNS OUT YOU STILL GOT THE OTHER ONE) A FAN TO CIRCULATE THE HEAT WITH ITS CONTROL FOR SLOW AND FAST. THERMOSTAT TOWARS THE REAR. ON THE PIC ABOVE YOU CAN SEE THE MOTOR FOR THE AUTOMATIC TURNER.

snowpetals Good luck, I hope the remaining 10 hatch too.

Lapaysannefarm They maybe early but some say that you should go into lockdown just when they have internally pip and raise humidity when they have external pips, so I think it's perfect timming.

only the 21st remaining, and he was alive and kicking inside, I hope he makes it out when I return from my remaining sleep after 2 hours.

I beieve my last ten chicks died in the shell. I wasn't seeing anything or hearing anything so I candled a few and there is no movement in any of them.... I'm feeling really sad right now as I'm not sure what I did wrong I'm going to leave them in there another day but I don't have a lot of hope right now
