I am so excited that the chicks will have a good home OGM !!!

I have four stops on my Dec 22 chicken run. While I am excited about this hair-brain scheme - I still can't believe I am doing it.

I will need a picture of your chicken mamas so I can tell the chicks about their parents and why they were given up for adoption - just like my homo-sapien kids

Will it hurt my eggs if I spray them with water over and over to keep up the humidity? It is working... Will it hurt them more if I don't?

snowpetals sorry to hear that.... and I think it was the chick's genes....

3D A quick tip that may raise your humidity that my brother reminded me, put a plastic container filled with water and very near (3-4 inches) to the heat source, thats was how mine was setup and maybe the temp in the water was more than the environment so it evaporated efficiently? and as katsdar's bathroom idea, mine was placed inside a bathroom from day 1. I don't know anything about spraying.

I can't put my incubator in the bathroom because it is freeeeeezing in there! And I do have a container of water by the heat lamp... and everywhere else!

But the container is of glass right? my bathroom was also freezing, my house is not centrally heater, but yeah I would not have moved my incubator anywhere on day 20, you got any pips yet??

I am bad at quoting from my phone, sorry ;(

quite sure who the mommas will be but the daddies are silkie polish mixes :) I am still getting 5-8 eggs a day so I will have plenty. You can pick by egg color!
