If my first 18 days were perfect conditions it be 21 days at midnight Monday. I fgure I cant open the bator till atleast the evening Tuesday.

I've done my chores. What else am i going to do.

Wouldn't putting them in water hurt them???

cutest chicks snowpetals

3D I saw mine candled mine just before setting them in lockdown, they say opening the bator will not hurt before they pip externally, thats when they loose the moisture, so maybe you can get sneak one or two out and candle them, you would be able to see if they have pipped internally. They would look like this;

mine did.... and they would be moving.

Okay, so if I were to candle them right now, I would see that inside the air bubble at the end? I hope that's what it looks like right now! x3 If they don't start to show signs of life soon, I will have to get up throughout the night again.

yep, thats it's beak inside the air cell, it internally pipped, I saw that in two of mine at day 18.5 when I locked down, and then the first external pips were at the end of day 20 exactly at setting time.
and the first hatch was 11 hours after first external pip.

Your hatch was perfect, Candyman! You didn't have to wait long!

I have some pictures to share again!

My eggs ^ (minus the three that could not be fit into the picture) I put the lens of the camera up to a hole at the top. I am guessing this will be my main way of taking hatching photos. XD

MY BROODER all set up so I can use it when I need it. ^ Those are aspen shavings on two towels.

My incubator ready for the eggs to hatch. ^

So what do y'all think???

I don't have food yet in case they don't hatch.

If these guys hatch in the night, I hope it's at four or five rather than twelve so I don't have to stay up the whole night. With my luck, they will hatch right when I go to bed. XD I will definitely share news as soon as they start to show signs of life. For now, I will be like this:

Lol when I saw my forecast, I was surprised that there WAS a humidity at all! lol Your forecast sure is warm for winter time, Candyman!

There must be lots of wind outside if the wind chill is making -8 degrees feel like -17!
