Hatch Along - Setting eggs June 7th.....anyone else?

Well crap! My cat or dog must have unplugged the bator by accident. I know when I went o bed at 1 am it was fine, but I just looked at it and the temp was 74 degrees and the humidity was 81%. We plugged it back in...I hope it didn't ruin everything.

It might delay them a little...but I have read about people loosing power for 12-30 hours and still had a great hatch rate!

Well that's good news =) I don't think it was off for very long actually, and it didn't take much time to get back to normal. I hope you are right.

I have the same one. My incubator thermometer is at 102 as well but at egg level it is lower. I put my outdoor thermometer / hydrometer unit in the basket during testing and got it to be at 99.5. With eggs and auto turning it fluctuates, but I have 22 eggs in there and the gauge is now on its side on one side of the basket so I think that is why. I range from 99.2 up to 100.2 with my humidity around 45%. I might end up putting it in the middle when I candle, but I am trying not to obsess about it too much. Momma hens get up and rotate right so the temp isn't always the same ><

I see buddies from other threads I am following. I have 3 hatch days. 23rd, 24th for chicken and 30th for guineas. Mind if I lurk around? This web site is so great with all the activity. What fun!!!

Got a storm rolling in here finally!! we need the rain so badly, but I don't know about all the ping pong, quarter and nickle size hail and 70 mph winds they are calling for! Gonna go make sure all my" hatches" are battoned down one more time. Storm only 20 miles out. Let'er buck!
