Hatch Along - Setting eggs June 7th.....anyone else?

My incubator is holding at 99.4 and 51% humidity. Hope it continues to be easy like this. Dot (my turkey hen) won't let me see anything! It's killing me...I want to make sure all are ok and see how many have hatched. Scott says we should leave her be so she doesn't go off the remaining eggs...which means, I'll have to look when he is not around. LOL =)
We put The Dorking Sisters and our little Cuckoo Marans in with the big girls last night, I hate the first couple days where they get picked on. We have one Delaware and she is just horrid. I haven't named her yet, because I can't seem to come up with a nice name. I might just give into it and name her Dinner or Entree.. keep telling her she is going to be dinner if she doesn't behave. She does run by attacks. It's pretty sad when I find myself cheering on the occasions when my turkey tom pecks her for being a brat.
I'm enjoying reading about everyone elses experiences and questions =)

Great! Geez, and I thought hand turning 28 eggs was bad.....

I turn 28 too :)

My husband turned my Brinsea down a touch. Have to use a tiny screwdriver and make like 1/16th turns/degree! Now I'm holding at 100 by the internal thermo. I'm going to borrow my Dad's instant surface read thermometer tonight and point it at the eggs to get an idea of the temp of the eggs. Dunno what that'll tell me, but you know, obsession!

I had an infrared thermometer gun for my Bearded Dragon and I gave it away! I have wanted to use it a couple of times since for various things

There are now 9 poults! 7 look Narragansett(I think) and 2 Royal Palm. We know the Wild turkey had it going on! We also now know that Strut has no fertility issues =) There were 14 eggs to start..so 5 more. She is being an awesome Mom.

Your turkey hatch sounds amazing! Congrats! How wonderful to have a broody turkey mom to care for the poults.
