Yay for all the babies! We've got 9 chicks so far, with 6 out of 9 unhatched pipped. We're mid day 20...and these banties are all over the place!! I thought they rested after hatch. HA! They are so active, and too cute! They've been zipping SUPER fast! We've gotten to see probably 6 completely hatch. So fun! The kids are in heaven. I may have to break in and pull this first batch out and move to the brooder, just to protect the remaining 9 on the floor. These chicks may be small, but they are going to town. They seem to get super excited once a chick starts zipping, and they all rush over to "help." Oh my.

Not necessarily. I've had hatches that were totally silent well into day 21. I know it's worrisome though.

I'm freaking out over this one egg nearly threw away this morning. It's been chirping and rocking like crazy for HOURS. I want the little guy to pip so badly.

My first one is pretty tired. Slept most of the afternoon. So different from my first batch on Tuesday. 2nd one pipped this morning & finally started to chip away a bit more now! Yay!
Yeah Brooster, they can really try our patience! I think he'll pip yet!
