Hatch-Along - Setting eggs this weekend (Jan5/6) WHOS WITH ME!

I'm told you can't tell the Lakenvelders until they get older.
BUT one is noticably a tall skinny shape vs. the other being a short round shape, not dramatic, but everyone can tell them apart so we are betting tall skinny Cockeral, short round pullet....

I've got eggs in LD, in 3 different hatchers to seperate breeds & also due to space.

Day 21 begins tomorrow at 8pm... I'm keeping a close watch on them, no signs of wobbles or anything yet.
Someone who hatched some from the same source as a half of these had 5/9 hatch yesterday on their day 21.
I'm going nuts in anticipation....

Your chicks look like how ours did....add far as the sex if then we sent a picture to the lady we got the eggs from and she told us we have a rooster because of the comb he has at almost five weeks.

We have some very bad chicks! Yesterday one got out and was roaming my bedroom lol so we put a lid and this morning i was home so i had taken the lid off and took a sower and opened the bathroom door to have a baby chick greet me at the door.these ones are so bad compared to or first two

it is still 15 mins prior to day 21 -- I think things are WAY better already on this 3rd try for hatching.

So far we have:

5 CL hatched (2 girls I think), 1 pipped, 3 pending action (maybe pipped but I can;t see, lots of egg soccer in there)

1 SFH just out, 1 pipped, 12 nothing I can see going on

3 Buckeye & 6 AmerxEE green eggs just sitting there - but it is only middle of day 21, still _plenty_ of time for them all to come out

I sure want more to hatch, but this is already my very best hatch ever (3rd time) so FANTASTIC and getting better !

Sounds like you need a top for your brooder. At least you know your chicks have imprinted on you though. "MOM! MOM! MOM! DON'T LEAVE ME!!! MOM! LET ME IN!!!"
