Hatch-Along - Setting eggs week of February 8th!! Who's joining me?

What day are you on?!? Don't assume they are dead yet!! Wait it out!! They may still hatch!

Yea I put them back in. Now it's day 22. Still nothing. I took that particular temp/hyro gauge out and did a humidity test last night with the salt. This morning it read 72%. So it wasn't that far off. Running it again to see if I get the same reading.

Yea and I did. Have the mercury thermometer in there also. When I did the ice water test was right at 32. Next run I am going to try the dry method and see how that turns out. Going to leave these in until saturday morning. then open and clean. Then start collecting eggs for the next run. I will figure this out sooner or later, LOL.

I got one pip and a bunch of rocking going on in the incubator. Not due till tomorrow. Out of 30 that went in, 28 are still there. Will be fun to see how many make it all the way. Been using the dry method with the humidity around 35-40% the whole time.

Even at finally 3 days?? That is what I am going to try next run.

I'm so surprised you all are getting 35-40 percent humidity without adding any moisture. If I don't add water I get like 5-10 percent humidity. I wonder if it has to do with elevation?

I have chick number two now! Another mix from my eggs - a polish/light brahma cross. So cute! I'm really going to have to post pictures here. Nothing yet from the buff orps, aka the whole reason I was hatching

You add a little water, but let the humidity drop before adding more. Except on the lockdown. I know the article is long, and the information on what to do is not organized or bullet-pointed, that's why I read it over and over....
