Hatch-Along - Setting eggs week of February 8th!! Who's joining me?

I just set 20 rir eggs. This is the 3rd day but nothing yet. Air cell doing good. See the yoke. But that's it. I just need not mess with them till Wednesday. But I can't help myself. Only candle like 1 or 2. My first time you know. HAHAHAHA
whoop whoop, I'm actually looking for a RIR Rooster for my girls.
I'm game, I put in some mixed bantams and a dozen barred rock chickens,wo silver sebright eggs on Feb. 9th (my birthday). I will be addin about a dozen rhode island red eggs and about 1/2 dozen mille flèur d'uccle eggs. Fingers crossed and good luck to every one.

Don
ooo mille fleur d'uccle are those from your hens?

I'm going to mark my air sacks tonight. Found my flashlight.

If you need a rooster and if these eggs hatch I most certainly can get yea one.

Yep I bet you'll have at least one!

I forgot how hard it was to see thru an EE shell, couldn't see air sacks in the two week old eggs, maybe they are fresher than that

I can see through the brown eggs sort of. Have a big flashlight cut a hole the size of a toilet roll hole in a box. Set the box on that big flashlight and put the egg inside. Works but still not seeing much. Incubating is confusing to me. Pre-schoolers do it in a class room. Then why should it be so hard. The temp and humidity is different on every darn web page you read. Even on here.I guess you have to figure in where you live, the incubator you have, weather outside that day, eggs you have blah blah blah. **** hen sits her *** on them and there fine. What gives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of mine have been in the fridge for maybe three weeks plus. I went out to the coop bright and early today and got some eggs. I found one so fresh it was still warm despite the single digit temps. I have NO idea who laid it. It was medium size and off white, almost a brownish. I have never gotten an egg like that before so I'm curious what will hatch from it.

I have been posting in other hatch a longs figured is say hi here too :). I have 18 eggs from a mixed flock of EE and black copper marans. I set them on the 2nd. I candled this evening and everything is looking good! This is my first attempt at incubation and it's in a homemade incubator I made after reading a bunch of threads on how to build them here.

I have solid veining in 16/18 eggs. One egg looks to have a blood ring(keeping it till day 10 to double check) and one appears to be infertile(again, keeping till day 10). One of my eggs even had a squirmer inside! What an experience this is!

**** you HAHAHAHA. Mine have nothing on day 3. Air cell and yoke is all i see. Mine is a used homemade bator too. :barnie

LOL! Don't feel bad, I didn't see a thing in my eggs when I candled on day 4. Honestly I wasn't expecting to see much today and I was pleasantly surprised. Hang in there you will see something soon!

But I sure hope so. Had to do some rearranging in there today. To long to tell. Hope I didn't miss it all up. I put 20 rir eggs in there. Thinking more the better chance I have. Now wondering, just more losses. HAHAHA. If I just get a couple I will be happy. Then modify this thing when this is done. I'm a guy. I think I think too much!!!
