I have a chick! It's huge. It literally hatched bigger than my two week old silkie. It's also ridiculously loud and clumsy. I had to take her out because she was playing hockey with all the other eggs. Still, she's cute![]()
Rooting for your chicks and you too!!!Not for me, but the chicks. LOL![]()

I'd say open it, get the water in, close it. maybe a loaf pan with water in it would help? IME, it's best to make adjustments before they pip or zip.Well today is hatch day. Not sure about the official time, should have wrote the time down. You know what I mean. So far nothing!!:/ I know your not suppose to open it, or so they say, but I'm going to have to, my water is running low! This plywood sucks up the water. But going to let it go as much as I can. Sure wish I knew if those chicks are still alive in there.

Edit: if your temps were a little on the low side, hatching may be delayed. Mine were a little high, wiggler between 99.5 and 100.5, so they were a day early....
I used a cheap digital meat probe type, calibrated by sticking it under my tongue. 98.5F. then I used it in the water wiggler....Yea who knows about the temp. These thermometers aren't right from what I can tell. Have a better one ordered for next time.
