Well, I am not giving up yet. I still see veins in many of them, just not as much as I expected and in many I had seen the little embryo and now can't. But today, it looks like there is quiet a bit of veining in many of them still. I will just keep watching the temps which seem to be more stable now. Someone on another thread said I should give them until day 14 before I give up on them.
As far as the roo. Hmm. I don't know how old he is. His owner purchased him from Jean (Pips & Peeps) as a full grown roo, so he must be at least a year old. The little ladies were born last year about this time, but the eggs are all medium to very large. The marans eggs are jumbo! But all three of them are not looking very promising.
We will see...
Yesterday, I was feeling pretty disheartened. I ate waaaayy too much chocolate trying to feel better. Not good. Today, I am feeling better. If I lose them, I lose them. I will chalk it up to a learning experience, adjust, and buy more eggs. I feel challenged. Like, this will not beat me!! I will figure it out!
Thanks for the support!! I am watching and cheering for your hatches!
If anyone candles, post pics!! I love candling pics!
