Where's the little emote of the guy blushing when you need it? Thank you, Heidi, that's so sweet! The truth is usually, I can tell who lays what, except Charlotte and Silver, whose eggs are too similar.

She lightly writes the name of the hen who laid the egg in pencil. Isn't that awesome!

I try to write the name on top and on bottom so that when they begin to hatch, you will know whose baby just came out of the egg. I used to number them in the order in which they were collected and I may start doing that again; that would tell you which were the freshest ones.

I woke up this morning to a nice size pip in one of Charlottes eggs - later in the morning another one of her eggs decided to pip as well. The show is on!

No - they are chirping and don't want to come out. Guess it is o.k. since today is day 20, right? Temps and humidity have been perfect. Hopefully tomorrow morning I will have a few babies running around in the bator.

Sure hope so! Seems like I always have a couple pip really early then take a long, long rest before making the final push.
