Hatch Complete w/Specklehens Eggs*PICS*

One of Silver's babies just hatched. Now I have 2 of her eggs really rocking, plus 2 of Skyes eggs. Silver's baby is just chirping her little head off - I've never heard one so vocal in my life! Yes, tomorrow will be day 22 and I think I might pip the rest of the eggs tomorrow morning if they haven't already to see what's happening. Oh! I almost forgot, but one of the babies has a huge white beard and white eyebrows. It's beautiful!

Sorry I haven't updated until now - I've come down with the flu.

Ameraucanas - 3 silver, 2 blue, and 3 black (I think) and the blue orps - 2 blue and 1 black (I think - 2 are still drying in the bator) 1 of the orps I ended up intervening alot. I noticed last night when I pipped the egg there was a sticky substance all over the chick. By this morning I notice it was harder than a rock so I chipped away at the shell and bathed the chick in warm water until I got most of it off. The yoke was absorbed and all seems fine, but she is still laying in the bator so I'm not for sure if she will make it. I feel it was a good hatch and as soon as I'm feeling better I will post pics. Promise!

Sorry about your flu bug! That's the pits, not being able to fully enjoy your new babies. Sounds like it went pretty well. Are there anymore left in the bator? Seems like you'd have what, three more Orps? So you got more blues than blacks in the Ameraucanas, then. I love the silvery light blues! Well, I love all of them, but those are my favs.
