I have a pip!!! Oh how fun! I can't wait The incubator is downstairs and I can't hear any noisest they make. I think I'll camp out down there today. Congratulations on everyone's pip & peeps.

Nothing yet. Hatchday is official tomorrow (Saturday)...who knows, they might want to hang out in the shell for another day, but I hope not. I have eggs coming in the mail today and I need the bator space!

Ok, I have two pips...now, I have a question for all you who have done this before. Since I have two pips, my temp has gone up to like 101 on the thermometer that hasn't been calibrated (I think it might be off by about 3degrees) But all along the same thermometer has read 99.3. It wasn't until lockdown that I realized it might be off. Anyways, do I need to turn it down or just open more vent holes to let in more fresh air?

lovebuffs, i'd let in more fresh air. that's always a good thing as long as you can keep your humidity up. what kind of incubator are you using?

I have a rebuilt GQF 1502. I opened up the top vent holes and turned the temp down. We're at 100 now. What should the humidity be at? I think it might be too low but I don't want to open up the bator and ruin the hatch. Right now it's at 42%. But my hygrometer is part of the thermometer that wasn't calibrated and I think it may be off by about 8-10%, which would put it at 50-52% I'm just going to leave them alone and pray that everything is ok. I can see the first chick moving around in the egg. How fun!

Buff, I believe you want your humidity up in the 80's! I'm not familiar with that bator, but I'm pretty sure about the humidity. What kind of hygrometer are you using?

Not sure on the brand...brand is not on the front but it says high accuracy. I've got 3 pips now! Yay!
