Hatch date is tomorrow, 1/14! Anyone with me?

Why did you turn the temp down? I've never heard of that before. But, then again, I've never used a still air.

About your humidity ... it is a controversial topic. I have good results with incubating at 30 - 35%, and hatching at 60 -65%. My understanding is, that it depends on the altitude where you live.

I swear this hatching thing is an art! Ask any question and you'll get 3 different answers from three different people. Good luck, Buff! As long as you're hearing peeps I think you're in good shape!

I turned the temp down because when I went to check on them, it was at 101*. It freaked me out, so I adjusted it to about 99* The 1502 is a cabinet incubator. I just didn't fill it up since it was our first time. But I think we did pretty good. We got a total of 15chicks! They are soo cute. Thanks for the info on the humidity. I live in GA. Not sure about the altitude...but that's about what we did. I don't have an automatic waterer for the incubator yet (but next time I will:) so we had trouble keeping the humidity up. But I used the back door on the incubator and put a lot of wet washcloths. It worked temporarily. I'm happy with our hatch. Now we know where to fix it for the next hatch.
