After zipping and stopping you should wait a full 24 hours before even thinking of popping the top off.
There is a factor of too long and you might want to make sure that it's not stuck to the shell.
DO NOT PULL IT OUT! Just break loose the dried spot and let it get out on it's own.
If you break this final procedure it will die.
 
back from dinner and 2 babies out with 9 pipping! brooder heating up too. I have a bantam cochin-could be frizzled:) and a EE...come on babies. I hate to do this but we are going next door to my SIL to hang out a bit--takes my mind off of staring so much my youngest 11 DD is just as bad she is talking to them trying to caoch them out!!!
