I just candled the eggs in the bators and it looks great!!! so far from what I saw all 26 eggs look fertile!! and the are due on the 29th!!!

I don't know, most likely mutts. I got them from a woman who owns hundreds of chickens that all free range together, and she has many breeds. I just had the itch to get "something" in the bator. I love chickens!!!

I'm hatching on the 29th too! I had 11 BA's in there, as well as 5 EEs and 6 BRs, but i had to toss some of the eggs because they were quitters. I tossed 3 BAs, 2 EEs, and 1 BR... so that leaves me with a total of....... 8 BAs, 3 EEs, and 5 BRs. I am kinda kicking myself about the BR's (shoulda gotten SS) but I can sell the BR's and hatch some SS if I want to, no big deal. It only means more peeps!

I've caught hatch fever.... Yes I have.

I have 2 batches in the incubator-
first setting due to hatch on the 27th
2nd setting due to hatch on Feb 2nd or 3rd.

But the incubator is acting funny, so who knows.

well were almost there!!!! just had a little power outage today, but I was prepared. Covered the bators with a moving blanket and I did not open the bators, heated up water and place it in mason glass jars, set them next to the bators and the temps only came down 5 degrees. Luckily the power came back in an hr.!!!!!
