Hopefully it's stopped bleeding by now, but if not, I read you can put a dab of flour on the spot to stop the bleeding (or blood stop if you have it). As long as the chick is alone, it's not much problem, but other chicks could peck at the red spot so watch carefully when others hatch.

Steph,
You have moved your eggs around it seems, I'm wondering if you have delayed the hatch date by the lower temperatures they endured during the moves. Good luck!

My hatch is finished. The last egg, which was due today hatched while I slept. We ended up with 6 Easter Eggers, 4 Sizzles, 2 Frizzles and 2 Brown Leghorns.

The incubator is full again, this time with a barnyard mix of my eggs layers; some Showgirls and Silkies, plus 3 bonus Frizzles the breeder threw in. Another staggered hatch with chicks due Oct. 27th thru Nov. 5th. Thinking this will be my last batch until spring.

Congrats everyone on the successful hatches and for those who were not as successful...you gained a tremendous amount of knowledge for next time

When you candle where the air cell is and you go to a side you can see their beck sticking into the air cell and you can see them breathing.. Thats what mine looked like. There is an candling thread on here that has a picture of what it looks like..

It took mine a long time for them to hatch. Like i got home at 1pm and it piped and the first one didnt hatch till 915pm that night.. Then it started them all. lol
