I counted the days wrong! I went into lockdown a day early. It's day 20.

I have a pip today, Day 20! It's a blue egg and not a Marans, but it's wonderful just the same. I'm going to have loads of fun running back and forth to the incubator!

well still no chicks for me, my favorite egg that i was sooo hoping to hatch died last night, or sometime before the yolk absorbed. i candled it and saw blotchy spots that seemed weird and it just didnt look right, so i opend it like the other and sure enough it was dead, i didnt take a pic this time. it looked just like the other chick, full formed but didnt absorb the yolk. this one had less liquid in it but still more than it should, and the liquid was a dark red color, similar to blood. soo idk what happend to this little guy. it was my last golden barred bantam cochin egg.
