Hatch On Dates: Oct-nov? Dont Forget About This Post!!!

I set 22 Necked Neck Frizzle Green eggers on Wednesday 9/21, using a Hovabator 1602 Still Air w/ turner. been pretty happy with the temps since I got it at 100* Not to bad on fluctuating. I had to remove the water completely because the humidity wouldn't drop below 59%. Now it's good at 45% and steady.

Here's what I do on lockdown to raise the humidity I fill the reservoirs that come with the incubator course, the 3 sponges, and if i need to a shallow dish of water

Yeah now that I use the wiggler my air temp is stable lol. The wiggler measures the temp of the eggs and it takes away some stress cause your air temp can bounce around all it wants as long as wiggler temp is stable your good to go. No I got the the calendar here http://poultrycommunity.com/forum/showthread.php?8622-A-Cute-Hatching-Calendar. It looks better in color but my printer is running low on ink.

It is living in the spare bedroom now that I am over the fear of it causing a fire, it was living in the walk in pantry last time but it was just way too cramped in there come hatch time when everyone wanted to see hatching babies. Now at least we have ample viewing room!

I want one of those hatching calendars!!!

i put in 35 this morning the 24th....i am hoping for a better hatch than i got last time ...only 80% ...but i think my humidity might have been a shade high before lockdown as i kept it between 35 and 45.....i am going to try to keep it below 40 this time...then i went up to 65 on lockdown...i had 4 that piped and couldnt go any further..since they were not dry and stuck i think they were too wet?? they were fully formed ... any thoughts or suggestions??? i also lowered my temp 1 degree f because they hatched on the 20th day....i have an older GQF SPORTSMAN....happy hatching and good luck to everyone....
