well on day 21 and still nothing i wonder if the drop in temp had an effect on them hope to see pips when i get home from work in 8 hrs we have no wiggles, no pips and no peeps.

At nine and counting since yesterday. Got this picture taken of the first seven and as I was loading it to the 'puter, heard cheeping as the next two made an appearance.

No, they normally do not run around on the floor but the red light in the brooder makes 'em look all funny. They are Marans BTW.

Two out of four so far. I think one blue and one black. After they dry I should know. Can't entice mama to let me get a better look yet.

well it will be the start of day 22 at midnight tonight and still nothing. i put them in at midnight oct 1st is my day off if i started them at midnight on october 1st morning that would put them on day 21 right now wouldn't it i usually put them in at night but decided to put them in early in the morning this time

Chick 4 of 4 just hatched. Pretty good for eggs I didn't expect to hatch out. They were in the fridge for a few days, the oldest for five days. I found her on the wrong nest once as well, and the eggs a bit chilled.

Mama is happy as can be. I swear there is a smile on her beak.
