But my first hatch of the year in a still air LG incubator with temps running too high, the chicks hatched on day 19 and 20!! You will have to look very closely to see the first little pip that looks like a tiny x! Then the chick breaks through and there is a little hole that you will see the chicks beak sticking out. They sit and rest quite awhile before they start zipping~ There can be long periods of rest between each of these stages since it is exhausting work for a little chickie to hatch!
