Just remember, every time you set eggs you have a chance of hatching all roos! Their little fluff butts are cute until they start crowing.Actually, my youngest are still in fluffbutt stage at four days old! See my problem??

Those are great numbers! My first batch only had 4 chicks and I know 1 of them is a roo and I suspect another one is too. I don't have homes for them yet, they are only 5 weeks old.I have 15 hens and 8 roosters out of my first batch. I'm tickled pink about that. And four of them even have homes, the owners just want them older so they don't need to set up a brooder. Fingers crossed for this next batch. I can't tell with them yet.
Congrats! You got an exceptionally favorable % of females! Did you do anything specific to encourage that to happen? Or just some really good luck?I have 15 hens and 8 roosters out of my first batch.
