HATCHALONG!!!

Well I am relieved to know that all is not lost! I talked to the person I got the eggs from and she says that most of hers have that porous appearance when candling and that it doesn't seem to affect the hatch rate. YAY

I couldn't wait and I candled some of mine and there is LIFE! I am sooo excited :) I can't really tell yet in some of the darker eggs, so I will have to wait for my candler to get here :)

Got my candler, and almost all the silkie eggs are viable! I gonna have a lot of fluffy biddies!

I have silkies due to hatch on the 15th. My kids saw some at the pet store the other day and started naming them (fluffy, fuzzbucket, fluffball, etc...lol) Hoping that they hatch since the sillies already named them.

OMG! My incubator stopped working.... and when I was rushing to plug it in elsewhere incase it was the outlet, I dropped the incubator and killed my babies!!!!! I still have a few in my other bator... but I am terribly upset. How is it possible for a person to become so attached to unborn chickens?? It turned out to be the stupid incubator anyways. I am soooo sad.

We have some that are getting ready to hatch only two (they were a test) due wednesday then out of the 8 only 4 are still alive they are due saturday and two ducks due the 24th two sets of chicken eggs 12 each set on the 6th and 11th one goose and on duck as well set on 11th
