Hatched Eggs

My hen just hatched 17 eggs 2 weeks ago. I was wondering when she will begin laying eggs again?

Not sure, but she will probably start laying soon. It's seems like it would be hard for her to watch the chicks and lay eggs!

Sorry, I don't know when she will start...I never thought about that.

This same question was asked just a few days ago by another member. There is a search button in the blue tool bar above, and it might also be in the FAQ's. Any way, it depends on the bird. I have had some that start laying the day after leaving their chicks, and some that took a few weeks, and one that still has chicks and is laying. Most, I believe, will start after leaving their chicks, but it really depends on the bird. And a sfar as how long they stay with their chicks, that really depends on the hen as well.
