How many do you have in the bator? If your humidity is up it could just slip out. It rained really bad here today and once mine popped their heads out the rest of the chick came totally out of the shell within 5 or 10 minutes.

i have 4 chicken eggs that started piping around 3pm today an one is ready to hatch in a few mins an it's 1:23am now the rest are still piping away but slow at it an i have 8 duck eggs but they just started piping around 12am my humidity is up an steady has been since 11am i guess i just have slow babies?..lol

but i have sad news

the other 2 chicks died

i don't no why??? they started piping an peeping an was fine then once they got half way out the egg they just stop breathing???? so i stay to my promise i sat on my hands an didn't bother them cuz i'm thinking well maybe it's resting but hours went by an it never move

and my duck eggs are making me nervous they pip around 12 midnight an thats it, i mean yea they will move now an then but thats it no more pips?? are they ok????

It's harsh, but you gotta let them do it themselves. If they aren't strong enough to hatch, what would their whole life be like? You know?

yea your right...

i was telling them to come on, come out, it's alright. but i guess there lil bodys couldn't do it

but at least i have to Big baby chicks so i got 2 outta 4 with the chicks, thats good for a first timer right?


and my duck eggs are still piping , if anything i think they wont hatch until tomorrow morning cuz there on a slow pace
