Hatchers Anonymous *Official Thread*

Oh the enabling vibes are strong today!!! Haha Thank goodness my "brooding room" *AHEM* Study is the size of a closet. If it were big enough for another brooder, all the cuteness and fluffy talk might have me caving into to those RIR eggs!

I just got a fantabulous hookup from a family that runs a nice little local restaurant. The wife, Dina, used to keep chickies and is saving me chicken-friendly scraps on Wednesdays and Saturdays. She gave me cooked noodles, tiny bits of bread(crumbly and perfect for pecking) and bunches of veggies! The 20 week olds have been feasting each evening!

No one else would ever understand joy over special scraps! Haha Who else gets excited over this kind of thing?

Hey everyone! its a bit early for me to be joining this thread but i might *officially* join within a few weeks. My Mom gave me permission to buy some eggs (silkies, maybe some phoenixes) and im going to ask my 4h leader (who owns a feed store, i believe, and has incubators running 24/7) to hatch them for me. Anyone have any advice on what to do while you wait?

I couldn't see throught he shells when I candled, so I'm not even sure they'll hatch, but I'm excited anyway!!

Glad to see so many new members! It's good to see that you're admitting you have a problem. Don't we all.

One more step closer to officially joining the club!!! I saw another thread this morning about an additional discount on the Brinseas so I asked DH if he wanted to order today. He said yes!!! So I ordered the Octagon 20 advance EX. It is still on sale for the $100 off and with the discount code ( MOAC2010 ) we got almost another $40 off! How cool is that!!??

Now just have a few more things on my checklist before I can join the club.
1. Need to receive incubator
2. Need hatching eggs since all I am getting right now is pullet eggs from one of the girls.

3. Need to check the pullet eggs that I am getting for fertility to make sure that Mr. Cogburn is doing his job.

4. Need to wait until Christmas to receive my "present" (I don't know if I will make it that long unless DH hides it really well!

)
5. Need the rest of the girs to start laying. Dying to see what the EE babies will look like from my Wyandottes and my blue wheaten Ameraucana roo!

See not a long list at all!

Hatch date today!!! No Pips or Peeps. Not even a sound. Maybe i'm wrong on the date and they'll hatch anyway, but later.

You're not supposed to hoping you'll become a Hatchaholic. The whole point of HA is to get help and admit you have a problem right?
