We ordered 10 white leghorn chicks through tractor supply from hoovers hatchery. 9 are great. I am happy with my purchase. Having only 1 issue is a plus. The shipping was great. pic of box below in case anyone wants to know how and what they are shipped in. 1 isnt thriving well but i am nursing her with a dropper. I am giving her a corid drop once a day. vitamins in her droppers of water and crumbles made into a mash and made liquidy. Also some egg yolk in with the mash. She sleeps on her side and looks absolutely dead. I pick her up and she perks up and runs around with the other 9 like nothings wrong.. I put corid in the waterer to treat the others incase thats what she has. Should she really be segregated? I also read it could be a vitamin deficiency. So i am giving her just about everything i can think of. I got them friday and today is sunday. Shecis starting to go follow the others around to eat. She has only pecked a little food on her own so i am still dropper feeding.Oh, her poop looks blackish and watery which makes me think coccidiosis.
I will update her progress. Any advice is most appreciated

Corid + vitamins = negating the point of the Corid, as you're likely adding extra thiamine to the system (Corid is a thiamine inhibitor).

I doubt it's coccidiosis at this age especially if they're indoors, it takes time for the parasite to get going and they're very young. It might just be a failure to thrive chick. I'd stop the Corid and instead get Poultry Nutri-Drench to try and get it jump started, a couple of drops a couple times a day.

I don't like wood chips until chicks know what food is. The chick is looking into food dish and there is wood chips in food dish. It is confusing.)

(I actually don't like wood chips at all, but this is one reason.)

Nothing really stands out with the poop but it's hard to see against the towel. For reference, coccidiosis poop is usually (not always) like a thick blood splatter.

If she's not eating at all then you will need to continue feeding her, either some scrambled eggs chopped finely or bit of wet chick starter. Hopefully she will continue to follow the others and will learn to eat watching them.

Try mixing the crumbles with water so it’s like applesauce. Mine ate MUCH better as babies when it was like that. 🤷‍♀️
thats what i am doing for her. I did put some yolk in it also.I am stopping the corid, i wasnt giving her alot. hopefully she will bounce back soon. I am suspecting wry neck/thiamin defficiency. i did feel a curve in her neck that shouldnt be there. Fingers crossed for the next few days.
