Hatchery Day Old Pullets

i got my babies today. I ordered from ideal an ordered the asst heavy pullets (2) (got a rir and barred), 3 california white pullets and the asst sunrise pullets (7)( got 1 bsl, 2 ideal 236, 2 buff and 2 sl wya) and 12 packing peanuts. LOL they are so cute!!!

OMG, so cute. I didn't think I could get chicks this time of the year but I called my local feed store and they got a box of Buff Orpingtons in. I'm heading over tomorrow first thing and HOPEFULLY, they will still have some.

I'm so excited that I don't have to wait till February.

lol i have 20 in the bator and they go on lockdown next tuesday so i reallllllllyyyyy shouldnt have.

OOOOOO, I'm so jealous of those who have property who can have big flocks. I'm a city dweller and can only have 6. I bought a hen house that can really only support 5. I suppose I could tweak my roosting situation to get 6 in there. And we're not allowed to have roosters. So I have this big metal rooster we call Rusty. What's funny is that Ginger is constantly inspecting him for bugs and she finds one and get it, it makes this big TWANANANGGGGGG sound.

Love my girls. Can't wait to go home and say hello to them.

I just ordered 8 chicks from Ideal can't wait, I have nevered ordered before. I am new to chickens and got our first few locally. I saw your post and figured I would give it a try and with Ideal in texas and me in florida I figured the weather wont be too bad.

I ordered from MM last winter. 5 of five kinds of LF chickens. 1 extra. 1 freebee.

27 arrived. 2 died within 5 days. 2 were roosters --black sexlinks. THe freebee will be a rooster.

I would order again from MM.
