Ive ordered from them but Ideal is much nicer AND CHEAPER to deal with.

IMHO

Usually in the fall/winter most hatcheries include packing peanuts unless you order like 25 or more.

I’ve ordered from McMurrary last winter and had one dead chick in the box. They sent one extra chick with my order of twenty-five. I lost four chicks during the brooding period. Three chicks had rear end “pasting up.” Those three survived. McMurrary filled my order to the “tee.” I received the correct breeds that I ordered and they were 100% on the sexing. I was so pleased with them that I have a combined total of another twenty-five Gold Laced and Silver Laced Wyandottes arriving the first week of February 2012.

I ordered 25, received 28 (including the free "exotic chick") and six have been cockerels. The order was for the Rainbow Layers and all have turned out to be beautiful chickens, even the boys. I called Murray once when only two were crowing. That would have been within the 90% but they did say to call back if any more showed up so I do expect to get some credit when I call them back now that there are more.

My order from MMH was for 26 then I called back and added another 8 phoenix bringing my total to 34 but I recived 44, 10 peanuts.... BUT.... 16 died... so I called and now they are sending me the new 16 + I was told to expect red star boys to make up the 25 and the lady chuckled when I called them packing peanuts and she said right now they have TONS of extra boys... so expect extras. BUT I dont WANT boys... or meat birds
