"Calling out people in this manner????" Really? I didn't call anyone out. I said it was "potentially false information" because a lot of times people repeat things on here that are just hearsay. There's nothing on the USDA website and actually, yeah they got behind for a bit but they've been updating every day, including today, a Holiday. It's still not on their website although according to McMurray the incident occurred April 1, over two weeks ago. I looked everywhere, including calling McMurray, before simply asking the question. I never order from them and never will, so there would be no reason for me to receive an email from them or anything else.McMurray announced it a few weeks ago. Please inform yourself before calling out people in this manner. All hatcheries are vulnerable to HPAI. McMurray just happened to be the one that got it this year. They took the appropriate steps by calling in the authorities, culling affected birds, disinfecting all equipment, and salvaging breeds by pulling them out of hatching chicks. While they have not publicly announced the breeds affected, it looks like between 25 and 40 breeds won't be available until sometime next year... if then.
