Have done good with privet, its in my home state, some of my earliest memories are driving home with huge boxes of chicks, or my grandparents coming home from a "truck trip" picking up grain and a hundred chicks every spring. I agree what others said, the best hatchery for you is the one closest to you!
Also not all tractor supplies are the same, mine is pretty great, you can ask the manager what hatchery they use as well. Last year mine used privet like they had for years, but briefly last spring they tried (either mcmurry or meyers i forget i think meyers....) anyway 70 percent of the chicks i got from them at that time died!! and the manager said they had everyone having dead chicks, from themx so they went back to privet for the rest of the year.
This year they ship from privet still but if you order from tractor supplies website shipped to the my local store it goes through hoover hatchery now. Or at least according the website i havent tried doing that yet...
Anyway my chicks from privet, whether bought direct or picked up at tractor supply from privet have all in all been very good chicks, ive been very impressed with their large selection of bantams and the good quality of breeds like silkies. their sexing gurantee is 90% gurantee, but my tractor supply does have people who mix up the pullet and straight run bins so i don't trust tractor supply for buying pullets. I just always butcher roos anyway but still. ..

Edit to add, glad your chicks arrived safe and well, are they still doing good? I bet the kids are delighted!
