I doubt you'll regret keeping a couple. If you do though and change your mind you shouldn't have any problem finding them a home. They are docile and great egg layers.

Looks like we are keeping a couple, or so says my 13 year old who won't put them down long enough to eat and drink.

The great thing about having kids involved and always wanting to hold them is the chickens will be well socialized.

I love my RIRs. They are nosy, bossy and inquisitive. They do the best tricks for grapes, snatching them out of hands that are much too high for the other hens. I think you'll be glad you kept them, they have great personalities and are laying machines.
