What is the typical hatchery sexing accuracy? It looks like most hatcheries say 90% but is that realistically what it is? I have 23 chicks and a hand full of them are looking a bit rooish!

I find hatchery sexing to be pretty accurate, sometimes roos get through though. I think it really depends on the hatchery and whether or not you get a free mystery chick or not. :)

I did get the Meyer meal maker and that one appears to be a Brahma as I ordered 2 but have 3! The ones in question are easter eggers, Dominiques and barred rocks. There are about 4-6 that I am thinking might be little roos.

How old are they? In a couple weeks you can post a thread in the "What Breed or Gender is this?" Section of the forum. There are some pretty knowledgeable people over there that should be able to tell you the gender. :)

Yep I ordered 21 chicks from Meyer. They'll be 4 weeks on Monday. They were all supposed to be girls and I think there's AT LEAST 5-6 roos. I hope I'm wrong because we are attached to them all :(
