Do your Phoenix tend to go broody? I have one pullet and a roo. I am hoping someone in my flock decides to go broody on me

Two chicks and lots of pips.

No Welsummers yet, but I am hopeful. So far, two BR or sexlinks (can't tell yet).

Welcome, fuzz butts!

Hey, DawnS - that's exactly an issue I had with my bator, and I did the same thing. I pushed the temp down 1/2 a degree, they were still about 1/2 day early, then a full degree, and that seemed to be right where they needed to be. I think all bators have their little "kinks" and when we figure them out, we get better hatches and healthier babies! BEST of luck with your hatch!

Hey Wynette... same here... down 1/2 degree last hatch with the same early result and now 1 degree and 3 pips on Day 21... I MAY have found it!

For the new hatchers...I'm not saying that my temperature is really any different than recommended.. just tweaking my temperature due to variances in thermometers etc... it may SAY 99 but actually BE 100!
