I set some silkies a coupla days ago a local lady sold me seemed to think a few show girls(2-3)maybe , she took them from under a broody hen. When should I candle them ?

Ok - I have 20 out of 30 - Mary's eggs...due date on Wednesday...I just got in 2 dozen Porto eggs...anyone know what I should do about setting the new eggs? I don't know, but I can't let them sit until Wednesday...I have room in the bator but lockdown is Sunday...

Okay, just laid the eggs down. 13 of Kathy's and 7 from Glenn went all the way. 5 are questionable from Glenn. One might be fine but it is questionable. The others died mid incubation, I believe.

I hear "whistling" this morning. You know, that faint noise once they finally pip the air shell? Woot! Tomorrow is the day, but I've always had some banties hatch a little sooner. Temp has been spot on the entire time. We'll see.
