Sounds to me like your doing all you can for these last 2 ducklings. Hopefully they will continue to hatch on their own.

Of course, the membrane was intact in the 2 eggs I helped out. As soon as I saw the first sign of blood I stopped, moistened the membrane and put them back in the bator

Hi! Sorry, I'm still reading back through the thread. The one at the pointy end will likely be able to hatch on its own, but it takes a lot longer for them to hatch from the time of external pip than it does for a regularly positioned duckling. That's because it actually externally pipped when it would have internally pipped had it been positioned correctly, meaning it still needs all the time it would have spent internally pipped plus the time it would have taken after it externally pipped to finish absorbing everything.
