I lifted the piece of shell on the top when I got home. He has been in the same exact spot since yesterday morning around 7am.Did the chick make that opening or were you trying to assist? It looks like it's been pecking that same spot for quite some time if you didn't help. If the humidity has been that low for a long time it's possible that the chick is shrink wrapped. I'm going to share a couple links with you on assisted hatches. There are some graphic images in the first one but it's really important to read through the entire thing before proceeding if that's what you decide to do.
