Hatching chicks and ducklings together?

Ahah i got my ducklings in a paddling pool for the first time yesterday, and again today and they were diving under the water! Btw i have decided in july i am going to gatch about 30-40 duck eggs

(rouen, pekin and muscovy)

Didn't they just hatch??? really you should wait until they are a week old.

I'm sure they do but as a precautionary you should wait until they develop there own oils which takes about a week.

Btw I cracked open the 8 eggs that hadnt hatch out 6 of the 8 had just died before hatch :/

My broodys eggs are hatching tomorrow but incase they don't hatch could I give her the 11, 1 week old chicks I hatched out?

Yes!! Make sure u slip em under her at night... even if she hatched a few u can still give her the one week olds... they can stay together as they're still all young and not much older...

Ok thank I have two broodies so I gave 6 to 1 and 5 to the other they settled in well and they are staying under her
