I have been turning them three times a day. Every 8 hours. I read that online somewhere that three times a days would be good? Bator temp is always 99.5 f - 100f. and humidity was at 50 to 55 percent until day 18 turned it up to 70 percent.

I have been turning them every eight hours. I read that somewhere on line. If I opn the bator to take out the oozing one wont it hurt the others? by losing humidity?

I have a baby!!! That was quick! JUST kicked the shell apart and now is tuckered. Will leave it be tho it is rolling about. Thanks!

btw the red is just food coloring in the water in the reservoirs and with the paper towel between that and the wire it leaked thru.

hi all i am in day 14 will candle tonight to make sure all of my back yard chicken eggs are good.

i have 11 in and looks like all were doing good 5 days ago. i have a LG and done three hatches in it with a 50% which i blaim my inexperiance to. lets see what i find today

First of all, Nelly don't worry about the humidity it should retain it is best to immediately remove the egg.

AHHH! Its so cute Sage! Congratulations on your first chick - I promise they get fluffier !

I am candling mine in a few minutes for the third time - and my second last time - I will candle them on the 18th day finally.

No more yet, fingers crossed. Peep is still kinda matted but trust by 24 hrs it'll fluff. Thanks!

#2 still pipping. I did remove the first one to the brooder. All fluffy now and eating and drinking.
Got the radio going with soothing music. Also moved gently the incubator to the same room with no air conditioning.

That's great about the pippings - assuming day 21 is tommorow? You'd be surprised how accurate that day is! You'll be very busy!! For me, day 14 today and candled the eggs - 4 looking good, 1 other looking decent, a 6th looking a very big long shot and a 7th is just a yoke!
