Hatching Ducklings in a mixed Duck and Chicken coop

For the last few years we have raised our ducks and chickens together. We typically hatch both chicks and ducks in an incubator. We have had one successful broody hen hatch, care for, and raise chicks. Now we have a broody duck. She is in the top nest box and has been intermittently sitting on her eggs. I candle them periodically and they seem to be doing well. Unfortunately she has gone from sitting on 10 to now a meager 3. They are due any day and have started pecking. I'm worried that she is not going to protect them since she did not protect the eggs. I am thinking of moving her to a brooder. Any thoughts/advise/experience?
