Hatching egg!! Please help!!

Hi guys!! So the egg is hatching I have never done this... I opened the incubator and I put a damp towel under the egg - is that bad will the egg live?!? I also chipped off a pease it's been at least 5hours and he had barely done anything.. Did I kill it?? Oh my gosh sorry I just really want this egg to live!! Please tell me what to do.. Thank you so much!

sounds like the humidity is too low, put a pan of water in there and you may have to spray a little bit of water on it

Sometimes they take over 24 hours to hatch, just be patient!

Haha you don't need to apologise to me
I just hatched my first lot of chicks and I was extremely nervous too. I learnt that hatching takes time though.. they come out when they're ready and assisting too soon can kill them.

Good luck with your hatch! I just had my first hatch a couple days ago, and let me say that if you're not slightly nervous about the eggs, then you're crazy. I was extremely nervous.

Thank you very much! He did hatch!!! Very cute!! But now I have this other egg it has been more than 24 hours and there is no peeping or movement at all should I help this one?
