It is a beautiful little chick, Mahonri!

I got nothing... at all. 3 of the 4 eggs from my cousin had chicks that were fully developed (from what I can tell), but they still had their head down... never tried to pip their air sac. 1 of the 4 looked like it died a little earlier on than the other 3 - it was smaller and just less developed.

Jane with no last name's egg was scrambled. I was afraid of that, but I had a hard time seeing through it, so I kept it in until today to be sure. The last 2 duck eggs were scrambled, too.

My one guinea egg that I was thinking may hatch I am a little worried about now. It was very active a few days ago when I candled it, but the last 2 days it hasn't been active at all.

There are 12 more guinea eggs in the bator - they're on day 9. I put in 5 more guinea eggs tonight, too. Eventually I'll get something to survive!

Beth-I am sorry! I haven't really even looked at mine, yet. I thought I would wait until day 18 to candle them. I am learning with each new batch, but I really hope I get the turkeys and ducks to hatch.

Try again, and I hope it goes better!
