Hatching Eggs from Miss-Jayne - Mahonri & ChevygirlBeth

Yes, we lived in south-central PA all our life until we got sick of all the developing. Pretty soon it will be solid city from Baltimore to Harrisburg, it makes a person feel pretty cramped. Greenville is exactly the opposite. Not to mention TAXES! We moved 5 years ago, and I can't imagine moving back!
Greenville is also pretty important: we moved from the Harley-Davidson factory, Hershey's Chocolates, Gettysburg, & Pfaltzgraff, to Annie Oakley's birthplace, Kitchen Aid, & Petersime Incubators!
It is a wonderful place to live!

I'm worried that my guinea in the hatcher might have gotten fried tonight. We'll have to see how it goes. My hubby was trying to be helpful tonight. He checked on the bator and it was at like 98*, so he turned it up. I didn't get home until a few hours later and it was on 107*! I know he meant well, but it frustrated me that he turned it up and didn't check on it again to make sure it didn't go too high! I guess if this one doesn't hatch at least hubby learned a lesson!

well, seeing as they are from desert areas, maybe it'll be okay?

the one here is running around the hatcher like crazy and the other one is still working on getting out. almost all the way out, just taking a little nap.

I'm hoping!

If not, there are 12 more in the bator on day 11 (I think... lol it is late and my brain is not fully functioning).

they hatch differently than chicks for sure. large pieces of shell instead of little pips and then WHAMMO, they're out.

Beth, my dh has messed with my temps on the bators and in the kitchen when I am cooking something. He has been banned against kitchen and incubators or anything relating to chickens unless he asks or is asked.
