Hatching Eggs from Miss-Jayne - Mahonri & ChevygirlBeth

at least I'm not the only one on pins and needles...

I never candled so I have NO idea what I'm to expect.

Chevygirlbeth...my first hatch I got maybe 8 out of 18...the second and third went better....but then a year or so has gone by since I've hatched and I feel like such a newbie...well, I guess I am anyway. It gets better as we go. Hugs.

Well here is my get home from work report, for Hatch 2.

Chick 1 - Wheaten Blue/Wheaten Ameraucana... I'm guessing roo, we'll see!
Chick 2 - Black Ameraucana
Chick 3 - Splash Ameraucana
Chick 4 - BLUE Ameraucana
Egg 5 - Pipped... trying to zip Salmon Faverolle
Egg 6 - trying to zip BBS Ameraucana
Egg 7 - pipped.. BBS Ameraucana
Egg 8 - slight pip... WB/W Ameraucana

Miss Jayne's Ducks and 2 remaining chicken eggs still have some time to go. Day 21 for the 2 chicken eggs will be Monday afternoon.

No others pipped or out yet.

Humidity on one says 65 and 53 on the other. I hope it's somewhere in the middle.
Temps... 100.6 & 99.7 I also hope its inbetween.

Thanks G!

Mahonri, congrats on more new babies... I still wanna see pics!

My egg from Jane with no last name is in the hatcher along with 4 eggs from my cousin. I am almost certain that 3 of the 4 from my cousin have a good chance. A little uncertain on Jane w/no last name and the 4th egg from my cousin.

I don't think I ever said what mix my cousin's eggs are. She has a beautiful EE rooster and some golden comet, RIR, & NHR hens.

I have 1 guinea egg left. The others all gave up. The one that is left seems very strong, though! I also have 12 more guinea eggs that are in the bator - they're on day 5 today. Hopefully this group is more successful than the last!

Egg 6 is a black Ameraucana. Faverolle hasn't moved. Just has it's beak hanging out of the shell. I'm wondering when I'll have to intervene if at all.

One more BBS has pipped.

OK, I'll leave it alone!

Got another W/BW Americauana that started to pip and another BBS pipping. Fav is just hanging out there with it's beak out of the shell.

OK, here is the tally.

1 W/BW Ameraucana (I think roo)
1 BLUE Ameraucana
2 Black Ameraucana
2 Splash Ameraucana

Fav still trying to zip... seems to be having a tough time but is still moving and cheeping
1 w/BW pipped and moving.
2 BBS Ameraucanas pipped... one looks like its getting ready to start zipping.

Still lots of eggs unpipped in the bator

Tally continued...
2 W/BW Ameraucana
2 BLUE Ameraucana
2 Black Ameraucana
2 Splash Ameraucana

I don't think the fav with it's beak sticking out is going to make it. Oh well, we'll wait.

1 BBS still pipped.
8 others not
2 W/BW not
3 Favs not

2 MJ chicken eggs due Monday
5 duck eggs.
