You didn’t cover the hole with plastic wrap?

I covered the egg hole with plastic wrap and then put a small hole in the plastic wrap where the egg hole is. If that was a bad idea I’ll go take it off right now

I have heard of doing that, but I would be a bit concerned the baby might turn and cover the hole in the plastic and suffocate

I will watch and see!

It’s fairly active right now with pushing on the membrane but not near the plastic hole so far

I think I might next chip away a bit more shell around the aircell area to try to find the head and bill and make sure it’s breathing

I just watched it and it’s noticeably breathing!

Not sure how to tell if it’s in distress or not though

Still can’t figure out where the head/bill is. So maybe I should chip some more away

Alright big update

It is peeping. Just a little. I only heard it do it two seperate times close together

Idk what to do now. I don’t see a pip anywhere

I suppose I’ll just leave it alone for some more time?

That’s great that it is peeping. Are the veins receding? I can’t see them in the video. Maybe take a pic of the membrane using the flash on your phone/camera. I would keep the membrane moist and watch the veins to see if they start getting thinner
