Congrats on their safe arrival!

Hmm, think I need some Exchequer Leghorns. Striking patterns. Could use a white egg layer for the laying flock.. :) I like the wild black/white patterning.

That is one BEAUTIFUL Rooster!! I am so blessed to have so many, but I still want MORE - WHATS WRONG WITH ME??????? I seriously need an intervention program. I have my two CCL chicks that hatched mixed in with some "sorta look a likes" and now I have to let them ALL GROW UP to find them.... See, when you can't keep them apart, you have too many!

Right???
Why would they need to be apart until they are at POL? Chickens need socializing just like puppies. Individual breed pens are for adults. Juvies and babies just need room to grow and play and be chickens.

No update on my chicks since 6:10 last night

I guess I have been trying too hard. Thanks to everyone here, I now have breeds that I have never had before. I have been trying to keep them apart so I could watch how each breed grows, keep track of male and female, that kind of stuff. I have been tempted to build a "chick" pen in the middle of the barn and put them all together. I bought tiny colored zip ties to put on different breeds to tell them apart, but haven't been able to make myself put them on those tiny, tiny legs. I have also worried about them picking on each other. Should I just put them all together??
