Deb.... those pens are GREAT! Mine are similar but UGLY LOL.. They work and that is all I need.... but 10 more.... maybe 15.....

I just can't do it. No matter how hard I try. I just cannot seem to put my bator away.

I try, I really do, but oh the thought of new chicks seems to be a weakness.

I admit it, I'm a hatching junkie. Now after this hatch I just can't put it away..I have spring eggs coming..what would be the point. What would I do in the evening if I'm not checking eggs for veining?

Now if only new pens would build themselves.

I know you posted the VA requirements a while back, but I just cannot search very thoroughly from my phone. Can you post a link or PM the information to me?

I called our state office about testing for NPIP and they are going to schedule me sometime in February. The vet is pretty booked. I don't really mind the wait since we've had constant rain and it would NOT be fun to have to do it in the nasty wet and muddy conditions. They test all birds on premises past juvenile age.

just had a very bad night. Had to put my 27 year old mare down. I had her for 16 of those years and she gave me 7 babies (only one was a filly that we still have). She was a fighter till the end but when she could no longer get up, it was time.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your mare. I know personally how terribly difficult it is to make the decision to end a loved pet's suffering.

Awww one of my new CCL chicks just died. I went to check for the final time tonight and she was down, I picked her up and she convulsed. Her legs are blue tinged so I'm thinking a heart issue.

I only had 4 of the new line, now down to 3.

Here are this week's current standings as of 1:00AM EST, Sat. Jan 12. For all potential new swappers, we welcome your participation, but please read the rules on page 1, post #1 of this thread.

Game #1 - Whenever someone goes over 7 swaps, they lose 2 swaps the following week. The first person to catch it and post "Jinx"- (name of person going over), gets an extra swap in the current week.

Game #2 - Whoever claims the 50th, 75th, and 100th swap of the day (yes, I think we will get up that high this spring or before) will win an extra wild card swap to be used in the winner's week of choice.

Congratulations to recent graduate alisar! She has completed their initial 7 swaps and made it to the big list.

I apologize if I missed noting anyone's graduation. I have been focused on getting the spreadsheet set-up and transferring everyone's swaps over correctly. If you notice any mistakes, please let me know so that I can hunt them down and fix them!

Below is a list of the new swappers that still have to complete their initial 7 swaps, so are limited to one swap at a time until their end each one is completed and verified by one of the thread moderators. This requires either the person that you paid Paypal to verifying that they received it, or a DC# for shipped eggs showing acceptance by the PO. Once you have been cleared by crazypetlady, kraftyladies, babymakes6 or madamwlf for another swap, you may claim another, regardless of what my list says. I don't keep track of whose swaps have been verified, just the swappers that need to have that done. My list is only published once a night, but your swapping status may change a few times during the day. Once all of your 7 initial verified swaps are completed, your name will be moved to the big list. I may not have everyone's name here that is already swapping, but all new swappers will be added here until I hear differently.
