Hatching Eggs / Paypal CHAT Thread

I know you posted the VA requirements a while back, but I just cannot search very thoroughly from my phone. Can you post a link or PM the information to me?

I called our state office about testing for NPIP and they are going to schedule me sometime in February. The vet is pretty booked. I don't really mind the wait since we've had constant rain and it would NOT be fun to have to do it in the nasty wet and muddy conditions. They test all birds on premises past juvenile age.
Here is the link to the form for VA:

I am told it is really easy if you are NPIP and have the AI testing done.

thanks in advance for thinking about doing this!!!!!

So, I have a question. If I owe you Bantam Chocolate Wyandotte eggs, would you be upset if I sent you a trio of wyandottes instead? I have them coming out my ears and I'm only keeping a trio. I still have around 16 incubating right now from a completely different line (Thanks Mary). I plan to band them when they hatch so I know which ones are which. And I would make sure you would get at least one from each line. I would go in order of who claimed first so not everyone would get the trios.

I need to get on your list somehow, lol...

It's me CPL, I/m at Heathers house. She is making dinner for us. I am trolling the swap, shh don;t tell her.

We went chicken shopping today!!

New chickens means more swaps!!

YAY!!!!

Denagard is in the house!!!!!!
Oh good!! I guess that means your birds are still sick, sooo sorry to hear that!! From a recent post, you had them tested, but no results yet?? And what are all the symptoms they have had?

I'm addicted. I can't help it

Well, since I have so many wonderful things coming from you in the spring, I certainly don't mind

just had a very bad night. Had to put my 27 year old mare down. I had her for 16 of those years and she gave me 7 babies (only one was a filly that we still have). She was a fighter till the end but when she could no longer get up, it was time.

Oh my, I am so sorry!!!

When you've had them that long they certainly are like family... that crying emoticon might be spot on, sometimes a good cry helps a lot...

And to DM... sorry about your SFH chicks, how frustrating!! especially since they hatched ok... will you have any left? Oh, and someone else lost a chick, too, so sorry to hear that... soo frustrating!

it is 2am here and I am awake.

the egg has pipped a tiny bit more.

The temp spiked a bit last night and I think I know why. I was trying to get more water in there to get the humidity a bit higher so I was squirting it into the ventilation holes with a syringe. I think it must have splattered up onto the thermostadt wafer. so I am awake.

temp was too low now. re-regulating. Think I've got it. and the fact that it's pipped more means it's still alive, so that is good.

DH has gone up to sleep in the guest bedroom...LOL.

this egg is kind of a special one. If it lives it will be the only progeny of Spike, my roo that died. Still trying not to get my hopes up.

dog just threw up. 'sup with that? LOL

I just can't do it. No matter how hard I try. I just cannot seem to put my bator away.
idunno.gif
I try, I really do, but oh the thought of new chicks seems to be a weakness.

I admit it, I'm a hatching junkie. Now after this hatch I just can't put it away..I have spring eggs coming..what would be the point. What would I do in the evening if I'm not checking eggs for veining?

Now if only new pens would build themselves.

Paint silkies from madamwlf eggs. They just moved out of the bator so the new eggs could move in

Well, I accidently sent eggs to Snapnzap instead of soap and I didn't have any papers in the box. Guess I got a little busy and made a boo boo.

Morning all!! Got a busy day ahead. Chickens and chicks to move around, rabbits to pick up, cages to clean! which means I'll be missing the playoff games today.

Good morning!
I'm kind of bummed. I decided not to go to the show in lake city fl today because I would want to buy some new breeders, and I just don't have any money.
I was secretly hoping my husband would surprise me this morning with a hundred bucks and a blessing to get something, but he left for work with out a word. Sigh.
That's what I get for getting my hopes up and dreaming
