In that case ill just keep the next couple days for myself and then resume sending with an extra. thanks for the feedback. Oh and I can't remember which one she was. I was just chasing to catch her and get her back in and realized I never paid attention as I also had a loose Marans rooster that I was chasing only to realize that was silly since he can mate the free rangers all hr wants. In the panic I just didn't pay attention. Lesson learned and I moved all the latches out of reach of the 2 and 4 year olds.

Sounds like my house... have to lock up everything, I had to put locks on all the doors up high, so no one would leave the house and get into the street somehow, yikes!!

Sorry you are disappointed, but that is the risk of buying straight run chicks at a young age. If you are seeking hens you might be interested in POL Pullets or laying hens. Both of these will run you significantly more than your inexpensive day olds as a straight run.

Did you see GFF is selling choc Wyandotte eggs in their store now? I've never seen them sell eggs outside of auction before.

I will be driving down to VA the middle of March. I am heading for VA Beach...I might be able to pick up and deliver a few chicks if anybody needs me to!

We will need to see if we can get some chicks to hatch before then!
